Reporting a packaging experience now that it is hot out. Ordered mid-heatwave, five day transit. The lyophilized vials arrived in a padded mailer with no cold pack and no insulation at all. The box had clearly been sitting in a delivery vehicle.
I am not asserting anything about whether that affected the contents — I genuinely do not know, and lyophilized material is generally more heat-tolerant than reconstituted, but tolerant is not the same as unaffected. My complaint is purely that a vendor advertising cold-chain handling shipped with none during a stretch where it obviously mattered.
Support was polite when I raised it and said cold packs are added on request in summer, which was not mentioned anywhere at checkout. Posting so others know to ask. Curious whether other people have a vendor that defaults to insulated summer shipping without you having to ask.
