I keep seeing Semax and Selank mentioned in the same breath, but they seem to be researched for pretty different things. From what I can tell Semax is studied more in the context of attention, BDNF, and stroke/ischemia recovery in the Russian literature, while Selank comes up more around anxiety and immune modulation (it's derived from tuftsin).
Am I roughly right, or am I flattening two complicated things? Curious what people who've read more of the primary work think the actual evidence-backed distinction is — not the marketing-copy version.
To be clear I'm not asking what to take, just trying to understand the science.
