Welcome to Peptide Basics. This is the on-ramp for the whole forum, so whether you found us yesterday or you've been reading science papers for a decade, start here.

What this category is for: foundational, educational discussion. What peptides are, how they differ from proteins and hormones, the distinction between research use and approved medical use, and plain-language answers to beginner questions. Think of it as the glossary and the FAQ combined.

What it is NOT: peptides.cx is an educational community, not a medical provider. We don't allow dosing protocols, 'what should I take' requests, dose math for a specific person, or reconstitution/injection how-tos. No sourcing talk, vendor links, or discount codes from members here. Personal experience is welcome as a personal anecdote, never as a recommendation. Evidence in this space is frequently thin or preclinical, so please say so when it applies.

For anything touching your actual health, talk to a qualified professional who knows your history. Read the pinned glossary next, and enjoy the forum.

Thank you for making the boundaries this clear up front. I've lurked on other boards where every beginner thread instantly turned into people trading protocols, and it was impossible to actually learn the fundamentals. Bookmarking the glossary now.

Good pin. One suggestion for newcomers reading this: when you post a question, tell us whether you're asking about the biochemistry or about an approved drug, because those get very different (and very differently-sourced) answers. It saves everyone a round of clarifying replies.

Not medical advice. Content on peptides.cx is an educational and community resource. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing guidance, dosing instruction, or emergency support. Always consult a qualified medical professional before making health-related decisions.
