I want to start an honest conversation, because I think the enthusiasm in these spaces sometimes runs way ahead of the data. Outside of bremelanotide's one approved indication, my read is that most of what gets discussed here β kisspeptin for mood/libido, various GnRH signaling ideas β rests on small studies, animal models, or mechanism-based reasoning.
That doesn't make it uninteresting. But I think we do newcomers a disservice if we let mechanism stories masquerade as proven outcomes. Curious how others here mentally sort 'plausible and being studied' from 'demonstrated in humans.' How do you personally keep yourself honest about the evidence gap?
