I've noticed Kisspeptin comes up a lot in academic papers but seems less hyped in consumer spaces than PT-141. From the research side, what makes it so interesting to endocrinologists?
My loose understanding is that it sits pretty far upstream in the HPG axis — that it's a key trigger for GnRH release rather than acting directly on the gonads. Is that why it's being studied both for fertility signaling and, in some imaging studies, for the brain's response to sexual and emotional cues? Genuinely just trying to understand the biology, not looking to do anything with it.
